ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how common COVID-19 infections are and how they might be related to air pollution. Researchers will test around 1,000 people for the virus using blood tests and swabs to see how many have been infected during the period when restrictions were lifted. They are particularly interested in comparing the health of participants when air pollution levels were low during the lockdown and when they return to normal levels as economic activities resume. By looking at these changes, they hope to understand how air quality might affect our immune systems and overall health.
To be eligible to join the study, participants should be adults aged 65 to 74 who have been in public spaces since May 11, 2020. They need to be informed about the study through specific local institutions and must be part of a social security program. However, individuals who are under legal protection, such as guardianship, cannot take part. Participants can expect to provide samples and information about their health during the study, helping researchers learn more about COVID-19 and its connection to air pollution.
