ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of a medication called oral dexamethasone on pain and nausea after knee surgery. The goal is to see if taking this medication can help patients feel better and recover more comfortably after their joint replacement surgery.

To be eligible for the study, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who are scheduled for knee replacement surgery. However, some individuals may not qualify, such as those with certain health issues, like uncontrolled diabetes or liver problems, or those who have had bad reactions to corticosteroids in the past. If someone joins the trial, they can expect to take the medication and be monitored for its effects on their pain and nausea after surgery. This trial is important because it could help improve recovery experiences for future knee surgery patients.
