ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called SEMO, is exploring a new speech rehabilitation program for patients who have difficulty speaking after experiencing a stroke, known as non-fluent aphasia. The goal of the study is to see how effective this program is in helping people improve their speech and to understand how the brain may change after successful recovery. Researchers will be looking for participants who are French speakers with a history of stroke and who are at least four months post-stroke. Unfortunately, individuals with certain other conditions, such as severe comprehension issues or arm movement difficulties, cannot participate.
If you or a loved one is eligible and decides to join the study, participants can expect to take part in various assessments and rehabilitation activities aimed at improving speech abilities. The trial is currently recruiting and welcomes all genders within an age range of approximately 20 to 27 years. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that could help many people regain their ability to communicate effectively after a stroke.
