ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, on patients who have been hospitalized due to the infection. Researchers want to understand how the virus can impact not just the lungs, but also other important organs like the heart, kidneys, and liver. They are especially interested in how these effects may lead to ongoing health problems that could require medical attention even after the initial infection has cleared up.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been hospitalized because of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. The study is currently recruiting participants of all genders. If you join, you will be regularly monitored to check for any lasting effects on your health, particularly in your lungs and heart. This research is important because it may help doctors understand how to better care for patients who have recovered from COVID-19 but are still dealing with health issues.
