ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of robotic therapy can help people who have had a stroke recover better use of their arms. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will focus on movements that are closer to the body, and the other will focus on movements that are farther away. Each participant will attend 18 therapy sessions over six weeks, where they will work with robotic devices designed to assist with arm movements. Researchers will evaluate participants' arm function at the beginning of the study, right after the therapy, and again three months later to see how well the treatments worked.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between the ages of 20 and 75 and have had a stroke at least three months prior, resulting in moderate to severe difficulty using their affected arm. They should not have severe stiffness in their arm joints or any other serious health issues that could interfere with their participation. This study aims to find out which type of robotic therapy is more effective, and it could help improve rehabilitation techniques for stroke patients in the future.
