ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how certain non-invasive tests can help predict outcomes in patients with acute kidney failure and a condition called Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF). Specifically, the study will look at patients who have increased pressure in the veins of the liver (portal hypertension) and may or may not be receiving a treatment called transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS). By examining routine clinical and laboratory data, researchers aim to find out which tests can provide valuable information about a patient's health and future needs.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who have both portal hypertension and kidney failure. Those who cannot provide consent or do not have these conditions will not be included. If you choose to participate, you will be monitored according to the standard care program in your area, and the results from your regular check-ups will be used to help understand the best ways to manage these serious health issues. This research could ultimately improve care for patients facing these challenges.
