ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how memory problems in patients who have had an aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (a type of brain bleed) may be linked to changes in a specific part of the brain called the hippocampus, which is important for memory. Researchers want to understand if the size of the hippocampus affects memory abilities in patients who are recovering from this condition. The trial is currently looking for participants who are between 65 and 75 years old, have had a mild to moderate form of this brain bleed, and are at least eight weeks into their recovery.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be receiving neurological rehabilitation and must have a legal representative who can provide written consent. It's important for potential participants to know that those with severe heart or breathing issues, previous brain injuries, certain mental health conditions, or specific MRI concerns won't be able to take part. If you join the trial, you can expect to contribute to important research that aims to improve our understanding of memory issues after a brain injury, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
