ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special type of heart scan called 15O-H2O PET/CT, which helps doctors see how well blood is flowing to the heart. The trial aims to include 5,000 patients who have known or suspected ischemic heart disease, a condition where the heart doesn’t get enough blood. If you are referred for this heart scan at Aarhus University Hospital and meet the eligibility criteria—such as being 18 years or older and not having severe claustrophobia or asthma—you may be able to participate.
Participants will undergo a routine heart scan while at rest and during stress to gather important information about heart blood flow. The data collected will help establish reference values for this type of scan. Additionally, researchers will follow up with participants for up to 10 years to see if the scan results can predict major heart-related events in the future. Your involvement could contribute to understanding how this scan can help doctors provide better care for patients with heart disease.
