ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the effectiveness of a special program that combines physical therapy, yoga, and patient education to help breast cancer patients who are experiencing pain from hormone therapy. Many women undergoing hormone therapy for breast cancer suffer from joint and muscle pain, which can negatively impact their quality of life and treatment outcomes. The study aims to see if practicing yoga at home, guided by a trained physical therapist, can reduce this pain compared to a control group receiving standard care.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be women aged 18 and older with non-metastatic breast cancer who are currently undergoing hormone therapy and experiencing significant pain. They should have completed any previous cancer treatments at least two months prior and must be able to commit to follow-up sessions. Participants will learn yoga techniques and receive education on how to manage their pain, and researchers will also examine whether these yoga practices can help reduce inflammation in the body. If you or someone you know fits this description and is interested in participating, this study may offer a valuable opportunity to improve comfort during treatment.
