ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for women who experience perineal pain after giving birth. Perineal pain is common, often caused by bruising or cuts from delivery, and can last for days or even months. The study will compare the use of a cold solution made with magnesium sulfate (a type of medication that can help reduce pain and swelling) to regular cold water applied to pads that women can use after delivery.
To be eligible for this study, women must have recently given birth vaginally (either naturally or with assistance) and have a pain score of at least 2 out of 10. Participants will receive either the magnesium sulfate solution or cold water, and their pain and healing will be assessed at the beginning of the study, after one day, and after two days of treatment. This research aims to find out which option is more effective for relieving pain and promoting healing in the perineal area after delivery.
