ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the impact of a mobile health (mHealth) tool designed to support healthcare teams during pediatric cardiac arrest situations. Researchers want to see if using this tool improves how well doctors and nurses work together, make decisions, and communicate during emergencies compared to traditional methods. The study will involve 36 pediatric physicians and nurses who will participate in realistic simulations of cardiac arrest scenarios using a lifelike manikin to help assess their performance.
To be eligible, participants must be doctors completing fellowships or residents in pediatric training, as well as registered nurses from the pediatric emergency department who have completed a short introductory course on the mHealth tool. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the mHealth tool or stick with conventional communication methods during the simulations. This study aims to ultimately improve the care provided to children in critical situations.
