ClinConnect Summary
The EXCEL trial, which stands for "Exercise for Cancer to Enhance Living Well," is focused on helping cancer survivors improve their health and well-being through exercise. This study aims to provide community or online exercise programs specifically designed for people living in rural or remote areas who often lack access to suitable exercise opportunities. By participating in this trial, cancer survivors can learn to incorporate exercise into their lives as a way to manage their health and enhance their quality of life.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with cancer. They should be able to engage in light physical activities and can be at different stages of their cancer treatment, whether they are just starting, currently undergoing treatment, or have finished treatment within the last five years. Participants should also be able to read and write in English and have access to the internet for online programs. If you join the trial, you can expect to participate in tailored exercise programs that fit your needs and help you become a lifelong exerciser, all while connecting with others in similar situations.
