ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring the best oxygen levels for patients with chronic respiratory failure who are undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation, which is a program designed to help improve lung function and exercise capacity. The study is comparing two different oxygen levels: a higher level (94-96% oxygen saturation) and a lower level (84-86% oxygen saturation) to see which one helps patients exercise better during their rehabilitation. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone between the ages of 73 to 328 years old can join, as long as they have been receiving long-term oxygen therapy for more than three months.

To participate, individuals should not have severe heart, liver, or kidney diseases, nor a recent history of pneumonia or worsening respiratory issues. They also need to be able to safely participate in pulmonary rehabilitation. If you join the study, you can expect to be monitored while you exercise with different oxygen levels to see how it affects your ability to exercise and your overall health. This research could help improve rehabilitation programs for patients like you in the future.
