ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding young onset colorectal cancer, which refers to cases diagnosed in individuals under the age of 50. Researchers are creating a database to collect important information from patients diagnosed with this type of cancer, as well as from older patients with colorectal cancer for comparison. By analyzing this data, the study aims to learn how colorectal cancer in younger patients might differ from that in older patients, which could help in developing better treatments and support for those affected.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 49 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer, or they must be 50 years or older with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer but no prior treatments. Participants will be asked to provide information through questionnaires and may be involved in providing stool samples for further research. This study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should check if they meet the criteria to contribute to this important area of cancer research.
