ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called "Lymphatic Mapping Of Oropharyngeal Cancer," is studying a new way to identify sentinel nodes, which are the first lymph nodes that cancer might spread to, in patients with oropharyngeal cancer (a type of throat cancer). The goal is to see if this new imaging and surgical approach is just as effective as the current standard method. The trial is currently looking for participants who are adults aged 18 and older, have a new diagnosis of oropharyngeal cancer, and have specific types of cancer spread in the lymph nodes.

If you join this trial, you will help researchers understand if this new method works well. Participants will undergo imaging tests and possibly some surgical procedures as part of the study. It's important to note that individuals with certain conditions, such as suspicious nodes on both sides of the neck, previous neck surgery, or other serious health issues, will not be eligible to participate. This trial provides a chance to contribute to cancer research and may help improve future treatments for others facing the same diagnosis.
