ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new design of a supraglottic airway device, which is a tool used to help patients breathe during surgery. The new device has a special opening that allows doctors to easily connect an endotracheal tube (ETT), which is another breathing tube, without needing extra equipment. This improvement aims to make it easier for doctors to switch between different types of breathing support during a procedure, ultimately enhancing patient safety and comfort.

To participate in this trial, you must be an adult scheduled for a surgery that requires general anesthesia and the use of an ETT. However, certain individuals may not qualify, such as those who cannot give consent, do not speak English, or have a history of difficult airway management. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive the modified airway device during your procedure, and researchers will closely monitor its effectiveness and safety. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve how breathing support is managed in surgical settings.
