ClinConnect Summary
The I-ACTED trial is looking at how getting involved in a civic engagement program—where students learn about and participate in community action—can impact the mental health and overall wellbeing of young people. The study will involve middle and high school students from certain participating schools. If selected, students will take part in surveys during their classes in the Spring and Fall semesters of the 2021-2022 school year, and they may also have to complete some online surveys later on.
To participate, students need to be currently enrolled in middle or high school and taking a class with a teacher from a school that is part of this study. This trial is open to all genders and is currently recruiting participants. By taking part, students can help researchers understand the effects of civic engagement on health and social interactions among young people.
