ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying frailty, a condition that affects many elderly people and can make them more vulnerable to health issues. Frailty isn't just about physical health; it also involves psychological and social aspects of well-being. Researchers want to understand what causes frailty and how it affects the survival of older adults. They will do this by examining the heart’s function, the nervous system’s response to stress, and several other health factors in people aged 65 and older who can move around on their own.
To participate, individuals must be living in the community and able to get around independently, while those in nursing homes or with serious illnesses that limit their survival are not eligible. Over two years, participants will undergo various health tests, including assessments of mental health, nutrition, and daily living activities. This study aims to gather information that could help develop better prevention and treatment strategies for frailty in the elderly population.
