ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of virtual reality hypnosis on reducing anxiety in men with metastatic prostate cancer who are receiving chemotherapy treatment with a drug called docetaxel. The goal is to see if using hypnosis in a virtual reality setting can help ease the anxiety and nausea that some patients experience during their treatment.
To participate in this study, you must be a man aged 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer and currently undergoing docetaxel chemotherapy. You'll need to provide your consent and be enrolled in a social security program. The study lasts up to six months, and participants will be divided into two groups: one experiencing the virtual reality hypnosis and the other receiving standard care. If you’re interested, it’s important to know that you cannot be part of another clinical trial or have had previous chemotherapy treatments. This study offers a potentially innovative way to help manage anxiety during a challenging time.
