ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to explore the effectiveness of using immersive virtual reality (VR) combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The study will not only look at how well this treatment works, but it will also investigate how the brain responds during therapy using special tools like EEG (which measures brain activity) and eye-tracking.
To participate, individuals should be between 18 and 50 years old and have been diagnosed with OCD according to standard mental health guidelines. They must also have a certain level of OCD severity and should not have received any psychological therapy recently. Additionally, participants need to be stable on their medications or have stopped taking them for a while before joining the study. It's important to note that anyone with certain medical conditions or devices, such as a pacemaker or a history of serious neurological problems, cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to engage in VR experiences as part of your treatment, which aims to help reduce your OCD symptoms.
