ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how involving trained patients, who understand what it's like to use CPAP machines, can help others who have stopped using their CPAP therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) get back on track. Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition that causes breathing interruptions during sleep, and CPAP therapy is a common treatment that uses a machine to keep the airway open while you sleep. In this study, researchers want to see if patient support can encourage those who haven't used their CPAP for a while to start using it again.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old, have a diagnosis of severe OSA, and have stopped using their CPAP machine for 4 to 12 months. They also need to be comfortable using a computer or tablet and have access to the internet. Participants will need to speak and read French, be able to provide written consent, and be part of a social security program. It's important to note that individuals who stopped using CPAP because their sleep apnea got better or due to other health issues won't be included. The trial is not yet recruiting, but once it starts, it offers a chance for participants to receive support in managing their sleep apnea effectively.
