ClinConnect Summary
The ALGOBASES project is a study that aims to better understand pain in patients who are preparing for orthopedic, thoracic, or gynecological surgeries. Researchers will collect information through questionnaires that ask about different aspects of pain, including the patient's background, physical health, and emotional well-being. This will help them identify factors that could predict how much pain patients might experience after their surgery and who may be at risk for ongoing pain.
To participate in this study, patients need to be over 17 years old and scheduled for one of the specified surgeries. They must also be able to understand French, have social health insurance, and agree to take part in the study. Participants can expect to fill out questionnaires before and after their surgery, which will help researchers gather important data about pain and improve care for future patients. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it will play a significant role in enhancing our understanding of pain management in surgical patients.
