ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well African American and rural White men understand genetic testing related to localized prostate cancer. Researchers want to see if these men can better understand their prognosis, or expected outcome, thanks to new genetic technology. This understanding can help them make more informed decisions about their treatment options.

To participate, men must be between 40 and 95 years old, speak English, and be willing to provide consent. They should also identify as African American or White and live in either a rural area (with a population of less than 50,000) or an urban area (with more than 50,000). While women cannot participate in the study, they will play an important role by helping to review educational materials designed to aid understanding of genetic terms. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, this study could provide valuable insights into prostate cancer treatment planning.
