ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring why some people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) struggle to stick with their Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment. OSA is a common sleep disorder that can lead to serious health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, and increased risk of heart problems. The researchers want to understand how the effort involved in using CPAP might affect patients' decisions to continue or stop using it, both before they start treatment and after they've been using it for a while.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have a specific measure of sleep apnea severity. However, those with a high body mass index (BMI), certain cognitive impairments, or other sleep and psychiatric disorders won't be able to take part. If you join the study, you can expect to share your experiences and thoughts about using CPAP, which could help doctors improve support for future patients. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and anyone aged 18 and older can apply.
