ClinConnect Summary
The Migraine Manager trial is a study designed to see if an online program can help teenagers aged 11 to 17 with migraines feel better and have fewer headache days. This program provides personalized tips on healthy habits like drinking enough water, eating regular meals, exercising, and getting enough sleep. The trial will compare two groups of young people with migraines: one group will use the Migraine Manager program, while the other group will receive a different type of online support that doesn't focus specifically on migraine management. Researchers will track how many headache days participants have before and after the program, as well as how their overall quality of life is affected.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have a confirmed diagnosis of migraine and experience 8 or more headaches each month. They should also have internet access and be able to understand English. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and participants can expect to keep an online diary to record their headaches and take part in follow-up assessments at various points over the next year. This study aims to find out if improving healthy habits can lead to better outcomes for teens dealing with migraines.
