ClinConnect Summary
The PREVENTURE study is looking at how effective a special program can be in preventing addictive behaviors, particularly alcohol use, among vulnerable teenagers aged 14 to 17. In Brittany, a large number of teens have tried alcohol, and many drink regularly. The goal of this trial is to see if the PREVENTURE program, which has shown positive results in other countries, can help reduce alcohol consumption among teens. Participants will complete a questionnaire that assesses their risk for substance misuse based on personality traits, and then they will be split into two groups: one group will take part in the PREVENTURE program along with their usual care, while the other group will only receive regular care.
To be eligible for the study, teens need to be between 14 and 17 years old, have tried alcohol at least once, and have access to the internet. They must also have permission from their parents and be able to understand French. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how to effectively support teens at risk of developing alcohol use problems. If you think your teenager might be a good fit, it could be an important opportunity for them.
