ClinConnect Summary
The Personalized Spine Study Group (PSSG) Registry is a clinical trial that aims to gather important information about patients with various spine conditions, such as scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. The main goal of this study is to collect data on how well patient-specific rods (custom-made supports for the spine) work in comparison to standard spine hardware used in surgeries. By doing this, researchers hope to understand the outcomes for patients who receive these personalized treatments.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between the ages of 10 and 85 and must be scheduled for surgery involving either patient-specific rods or standard spine hardware. Participants will need to provide consent, meaning they agree to take part, and complete some questionnaires about their health. If you join the study, you will help researchers learn more about these treatments and their effectiveness, which can ultimately benefit future patients. It’s important to note that pregnant individuals and those who cannot complete the necessary forms will not be able to participate.
