ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new tool called the SUMMIT BRUSH, which is designed to help treat a common eye condition known as blepharitis. Blepharitis is an inflammation of the eyelid margins that can lead to dry eyes and discomfort. The trial aims to see if using this special brush along with a typical eyelid cleanser is better at cleaning the eyelids than just using the cleanser alone. Researchers hope that this combination will provide better relief for patients suffering from blepharitis.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and show signs of blepharitis, such as visible debris on your eyelids. However, if you have certain conditions like styes, eye infections, or allergies affecting your eyelids, you won’t be eligible. Participants will use the SUMMIT BRUSH along with the eyelid cleanser at home, and the study will evaluate how well this method works in improving symptoms. This could be an important step towards finding more effective and convenient treatments for people with this condition.
