ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into various markers that could help us understand multiple sclerosis (MS), particularly in patients with relapsing-remitting MS, which is a type of MS characterized by periods of symptom flare-ups and periods of recovery. Researchers want to study how the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system (the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord) are affected in these patients. They hope that by understanding these markers better, they can improve how MS is diagnosed and treated.
To participate in the study, individuals must have a confirmed diagnosis of relapsing-remitting MS and have a certain level of disability that is measured on a specific scale. Those interested should be between the ages of 65 and 74. However, people with certain conditions, like having metal implants or recent head injuries, or those who are pregnant, are not eligible to join. Participants can expect to undergo tests and assessments that will help researchers gather important information about MS and its impact on patients. This study is currently recruiting, and their findings may contribute significantly to improving care for those living with MS.
