ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on creating a new questionnaire to understand how satisfied children are after having surgery. The researchers want to hear directly from the kids about their experiences following elective surgeries that require general anesthesia. By developing this questionnaire, they hope to learn more about what children think and feel about their surgical experience, which can help improve care in the future.

To participate in this study, children need to be at least 7 years old and scheduled for a planned surgery, not an emergency one. They should also be able to read and understand the questions in the questionnaire. Unfortunately, children with cognitive challenges or intellectual disabilities will not be eligible. If your child qualifies and joins the study, they will be asked to fill out the questionnaire after their surgery to share their thoughts and feelings, helping to ensure that their voices are heard in the healthcare process.
