ClinConnect Summary
The E-VICTORS trial is studying how a new telehealth platform can improve heart care for patients in Wilkes County, a rural area. This platform will connect healthcare experts from Wake Forest University with local emergency services and hospitals to provide better support for people experiencing heart-related issues, such as chest pain or shortness of breath. The goal is to enhance the overall quality of cardiovascular care in the community.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and showing symptoms that could indicate an urgent heart problem, as determined by their doctor. Unfortunately, younger individuals, those with non-heart-related breathing issues, or patients in very unstable conditions won't be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to be part of a program that aims to improve how heart conditions are treated in rural areas, ultimately helping to save lives and enhance health services where they are most needed.
