ClinConnect Summary
The PROductivity Study of Presbyopia Elimination in Rural-dwellers II is a clinical trial that aims to see how providing free reading glasses can improve the productivity of textile workers who have trouble seeing things up close due to a condition called presbyopia. This study is specifically looking for workers aged 35 and older who are employed at a garment factory in Karnataka, India, and who have not been able to see clearly for reading without glasses. To qualify, participants must have a certain level of vision and have been working in the production area for at least six weeks.
If you join this study, you will receive a new pair of reading glasses to help with your near vision, and researchers will track how this change affects your work performance. It’s important to note that individuals with certain eye problems or those who plan to leave the area during the study may not be eligible to participate. This trial is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could not only benefit your own vision but also help improve working conditions for others in similar situations.
