ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "NOX4 and Related Biomarkers in ADPKD," is focused on understanding how certain markers in the body can help assess the severity of Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) in patients who are in the early stages of the condition. The researchers are specifically looking at NOX4 and other indicators of mitochondrial health and oxidative stress to see if they can be used as real-time tools to measure how the disease is progressing.

To participate in this trial, individuals aged 15 to 40 who have been diagnosed with early-stage ADPKD and have good kidney function may be eligible. Participants will need to provide consent to join and will be monitored throughout the study. Importantly, those with more advanced kidney disease, diabetes, or other serious kidney-related conditions will not be able to participate. This trial is currently recruiting, and being part of it could provide valuable insights into managing and understanding ADPKD better.
