ClinConnect Summary
The Polycystic Liver Disease Registry (UK) is a research study that aims to better understand how polycystic liver disease (PLD) affects patients over time. This study is currently looking for participants, specifically adults aged 65 to 74, who have PLD with more than 10 cysts in their liver. Additionally, if someone has both polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and PLD with more than 10 liver cysts, they can also join. However, individuals with fewer than 10 liver cysts will not be eligible.
Participants in this registry will be monitored to gather information about their condition and how it progresses. The study is observational, meaning that researchers will observe and record the participants' experiences without providing treatment. This research is important as it will help improve understanding of PLD and potentially guide future treatments. By contributing to this registry, participants can help advance knowledge about this condition and support others facing similar health challenges.
