**Clinical Trial Summary: Magnesium Sulfate Infusion in Obese Patients**
This clinical trial is looking at how different doses of magnesium sulfate can help manage pain for obese patients undergoing surgery. Magnesium sulfate is a medicine that has been proven effective in many medical situations, including reducing pain after surgery. However, there hasn't been a study that determines the best dosage for obese patients, which is important because their needs may differ from those of people who are not obese. In this trial, researchers will compare two dosing methods: one based on the patient's actual weight and the other based on a standard "ideal" weight.
To participate in this study, patients should be healthy or have controlled health conditions, like high blood pressure or endocrine disorders (which affect hormones). Unfortunately, people with certain heart issues, those who use illegal drugs, have serious mental health problems, or have kidney problems cannot join. If eligible, participants will receive either dose of magnesium sulfate during their surgery and will help researchers determine which method works best for managing pain. This information could lead to better pain control strategies for obese patients in the future.
