ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the relationship between certain types of foods, known as "FODMAPs," and a condition called Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) in patients who have undergone a stem cell transplant. GVHD can occur when the new bone marrow attacks the patient’s body, leading to serious complications. The researchers want to see if the types of foods patients eat can affect the severity of GVHD.

To participate in this study, patients must be between the ages of 10 and 60 and have been diagnosed with blood cancers like AML, ALL, MDS, or MM, and must have successfully received a bone marrow transplant. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to share information about their diet and health while helping researchers learn more about how diet might impact GVHD. It’s important to note that individuals with gastrointestinal diseases or those taking probiotics before joining the study are not eligible.
