ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Fertility and Pregnancy After Surgery IBD Audit, is studying how conditions like Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis affect women's ability to have children and their experiences during pregnancy and delivery. These diseases often start when people are young, and the treatments for them can influence sexual function and fertility. The researchers want to understand these effects better, specifically in women who have had surgery for these conditions before turning 36 years old.
To participate in this study, women must be diagnosed with either Crohn's disease or Ulcerative colitis and have undergone surgery related to their condition. They should be between the ages of 18 and 36 at the time of follow-up. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and some women who have not had surgery will also be included for comparison. If you join the study, you can expect to share your experiences related to fertility and pregnancy, helping researchers learn how to better support women facing these challenges.
