ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Integrated Diagnostics for Early Diagnosis of Liver Disease," is looking to improve the way we diagnose liver problems such as Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Alcoholic Liver Disease. Researchers believe that by combining information from patients along with new blood tests, genetic analysis, and gut bacteria studies, they can better identify liver fibrosis, which is a scarring of the liver, compared to the tests we currently use.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been referred to a Community Liver Assessment Clinic. However, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or have certain serious health conditions, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide some blood samples and possibly other information to help researchers gather data on liver health. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to enhance our understanding and diagnosis of liver diseases, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
