ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a special type of contact lens called wavefront guided scleral lenses. These lenses are designed for people with keratoconus or irregular astigmatism, which are conditions that make it difficult to see clearly due to irregular shapes of the eye. Regular glasses or standard contact lenses often don’t work well for these patients because they can’t fully correct the vision problems caused by these conditions. The trial aims to see if these custom-made scleral lenses can help improve vision by reducing issues like halos and blurriness that some patients experience.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have been diagnosed with keratoconus or irregular astigmatism. However, those with other serious eye problems or who cannot put in or take out a scleral lens will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive personalized care and to try out these innovative lenses to see if they can achieve better vision. It's important to note that the study is currently active but not recruiting new participants at this time.
