ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on studying a condition called neurocysticercosis (NCC), which is a parasitic infection that affects the brain and is a common cause of seizures in India. The study aims to collect detailed information about how this condition presents in patients, the different treatment methods used, and the long-term outcomes for those with both types of neurocysticercosis: parenchymal (inside the brain tissue) and extraparenchymal (outside the brain tissue). Understanding these aspects will help improve treatment practices and patient care.
To be eligible for the study, participants should be at least 14 years old and have been diagnosed with neurocysticercosis based on specific clinical signs and imaging tests. They will need to provide consent to participate. Those who join the study can expect to share their medical history and receive evaluations that may include imaging and laboratory tests. This research is not yet recruiting participants, but it will be an important step in gathering more knowledge about neurocysticercosis and how to manage it effectively.
