ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of music therapy during a specific medical procedure called ultrasound-guided manual vacuum aspiration (USG-MVA), which is often used for early pregnancy loss. The aim is to see if listening to music can help reduce pain and anxiety for women undergoing this procedure. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will listen to music of their choice through Bluetooth headphones, while the other group will not have music. Researchers will measure pain and anxiety levels before, immediately after, and a couple of hours after the procedure to see if the music made a difference.
To be eligible for this study, women must be 18 years or older and admitted to the hospital for a first-trimester abortion using local anesthesia. However, those who are minors, have certain hearing impairments, or are taking specific medications for anxiety or pain before arriving at the hospital cannot participate. If you decide to join, you can expect a supportive environment where your comfort is a priority, and you'll have the chance to choose music that helps you feel relaxed during the procedure.
