ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special exercise program designed to help people with chronic health issues improve their physical activity and overall health. The program, called the Health-Enhancing Adapted Physical Activity Program, aims to find out what encourages or prevents individuals from staying active over time. Researchers will also look at whether this program is cost-effective, meaning they want to see if it saves money on healthcare by helping people stay healthier.
To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, speak and understand French, and have a chronic health condition like obesity, high blood pressure, or ongoing symptoms from COVID-19. They'll need to attend exercise sessions at "Mon Stade" twice a week for 16 weeks. After the program, participants will be followed for five years to check on their fitness and habits. This study not only hopes to help individuals stay active but also to provide valuable information to healthcare providers about the benefits of exercise for their patients.
