ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Fluid Intake After Hemodialysis," is studying how fluid intake affects patients with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis. When patients gain weight between dialysis sessions, it can lead to the need for removing more fluid during treatments, which can put extra stress on the body and may increase health risks. The trial aims to understand how factors like thirst and salt intake influence this weight gain and whether the fluid loss during dialysis makes patients feel thirstier afterwards.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and receive hemodialysis three times a week. However, individuals with diabetes or those who still produce a lot of urine (more than 500 ml per day) cannot participate. If you join the trial, you will be asked to help researchers learn more about how your fluid intake affects your health after dialysis sessions. The study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of gender.
