ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new method for diagnosing thyroid cancer by using blood and tissue samples from patients who have suspicious thyroid nodules or known thyroid cancer. The goal is to find out if analyzing these samples can help identify whether a tumor is cancerous or not, and to spot specific genetic changes that might influence treatment options. This approach aims to be less invasive than traditional biopsies, which often require a needle to take a sample from the tumor.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for surgery related to thyroid cancer or an uncertain thyroid nodule. However, if you have another active cancer at the same time, you won't be eligible to join. If you take part, you can expect to provide blood and tissue samples, which will help researchers learn more about thyroid cancer and improve diagnosis and treatment for future patients. The trial is currently looking for participants, and anyone interested should talk to their healthcare provider for more information.
