ClinConnect Summary
The TREAT Child Alcohol Use Disorder (C-AUD) trial is studying the issue of alcohol use among children aged 6 to 13 years in Mbale, Eastern Uganda. The researchers want to understand how many children are drinking alcohol while living under adult supervision and what factors might be contributing to this problem. They will collect information through surveys and interviews to paint a clearer picture of alcohol use among these children.
To participate in the study, families need to be caregiver-child pairs, where the child is between 6 and 13 years old, and the caregiver is an adult who can provide consent. It's important that they have lived together in the same household for at least six months. If you join the study, you will help researchers gather valuable information that could lead to better support and solutions for children facing alcohol use issues.
