ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at new ways to evaluate skin and mouth lesions without needing to perform a biopsy, which is a procedure where a small sample of tissue is removed for testing. The goal is to improve the accuracy of diagnosing these conditions by using a special imaging device called the ApolloVue® S100 Image System. This device can take detailed pictures of the lesions, helping doctors make better treatment decisions. The study will also create a database to store these images for future use in teaching and research.
Anyone of any age with a skin or mouth lesion that can be imaged without invasive procedures can participate, as well as healthy volunteers. Participants will need to provide consent, and for younger patients, their parents or guardians will need to agree as well. However, those with allergies to certain imaging materials or who cannot follow the imaging procedure will not be eligible. Overall, participants can expect to help advance medical knowledge while contributing to potentially better diagnosis and treatment methods for skin and mucosal conditions.
