ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how testosterone levels may be linked to dementia and mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Researchers want to find out if having low testosterone levels could increase the risk of developing dementia. Understanding this connection could help improve the quality of life for people undergoing certain medical treatments that lower testosterone levels, known as androgen deprivation therapy.
To participate in this study, you must be an adult who has volunteered to share your health information through national biobanks, such as the UK Biobank or Kaiser Permanente Research Bank. You should not be an adult who cannot give consent, someone who is not yet an adult, pregnant, or in prison. If you join the trial, you can expect to contribute to important research that may lead to better understanding and treatment options for mental health and dementia.
