ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how certain cells in the body contribute to the process of calcification, which can affect bones and blood vessels. Researchers want to better understand these processes to improve treatment options for patients dealing with related health issues. To do this, they will use small pieces of human tissue that are leftover from surgeries. These tissue samples are not needed for the patients’ own treatment and are kept confidential to protect privacy.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be patients undergoing surgery in the Cardiac Surgery or Orthopedic Surgery departments at CHU Amiens-Picardie. They must be informed about the study and agree to take part. However, patients who have HIV or hepatitis will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to help researchers learn more about these important health issues, potentially leading to better care for future patients.
