ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is researching how different diets might affect the chances of getting pancreatitis again, which is a painful condition that affects the pancreas. The study will compare two types of diets to see if they can help reduce the recurrence of acute pancreatitis and improve survival rates. The trial is currently looking for participants who are at least 15 years old and have experienced at least two episodes of pancreatitis in the last two years, with the most recent episode being of unknown cause.

To join the study, individuals should not already be receiving special nutritional guidance or be in critical health situations, like having terminal cancer. The trial is open to both men and women, but certain health conditions may prevent participation, such as uncontrolled diabetes or regular heavy alcohol use. Participants in the trial can expect to follow one of the two dietary plans and will be monitored for any changes in their health related to pancreatitis. This research could help find better dietary recommendations for people who have experienced this condition.
