ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a training program designed to teach young athletes how to fall safely in order to protect their knees, particularly the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The study aims to see how effective a one-week training course on falling techniques is compared to traditional soft-landing techniques. Specifically, researchers want to understand if the falling techniques lead to better knee safety by reducing the forces on the knee during various types of landings, and if these benefits last over time. They will also check if the training can be completed safely without serious injuries.
To join the study, participants should be between 14 and 30 years old and exercise or play sports at least twice a week, especially in activities that involve jumping and landing. However, those with certain past injuries or specific health conditions may not be eligible. Participants can expect to learn and practice falling techniques over a week, and the researchers will monitor their safety and the effectiveness of the training. Overall, this trial is an important step in helping young athletes reduce the risk of knee injuries during sports activities.
